Long Form Productions

Summer Coda

D: Richard Grey DoP: Greg De Marigny

Over the last two months of 2009 we headed up into the blistering heat of Mildura (topping 47°) with Red 242 to work on Summer Coda. Following the rest of the projects we’ve supported - the camera proved unflappable. Not only were our cameras and equipment used; rushes, quality control, on-set and workflow solutions were all part of the package. After 6 months of post production Summer Coda is preparing for a national release in October 2010 and has already screened in competition at the Melbourne International Film Festival 2010.

With some exceptionally stunning cinematography, DoP Greg De Marigny has delivered with the Red One. Check out the website for more information and look out for Richard’s blog on the whole process.

Hawke

D: Emma Freeman DoP: Graeme Wood

Hawke was the first ever Television Drama shot on Red in Australia. The Inspiration team together with Producer Richard Keddie and Cinematographer Graeme Wood had the shoot running smoothly. The production was screened on Channel Ten mid year and will be available on DVD soon. Hawke was extremely well received by audiences and critics alike.

>For this multi-camera shoot we provided the camera equipment, on-set data management, quality control, rushes and workflow from camera to online.

We have continued to work with Richard and Graeme throughout the year.

Exit

D: Marek Polgar DoP: Sasha Whitehouse

Currently wrapping up post production, Exit has been a long developed production which started production early 2008 with the then very new RED. Shooting the last few scenes in February this year it is very exciting to see this project finally come to light.

Check out the Facebook Page for more info, including behind the scenes and production stills of the RED in action. Exit will be coming soon to a cinema near you.

Van Diemen's Land

D: Jonathan Auf Der Heide DoP: Ellery Ryan ACS

After shooting his short Hell’s Gates on 16mm, Jonathan and Ellery decided to switch to what was then an unknown - RED. As one of Australia’s most experienced Directors of Photography with films like Death in Brunswick and The Matchmaker under his belt, Ellery found the transition surprisingly rewarding.

Post was a major concern, at the time none of the Post Houses wanted to support RED. With our already extensive experience with Commercials, Music Clips and Shorts we brought to the production what no-one else would - a simple and convenient post path. Back-Ups, Rushes, Quality Control and Offline were all managed between Victoria and Tasmania.

Van Diemen’s Land proved to be a hit - finding selection in festivals around the world, including Melbourne - even finding its way onto the Red Digital Cinema website and their exclusive preview. Van Diemen’s Land The first widely released RED Australian Feature Film.

You can buy the DVD instore and online now.
