Inspiration Studios is a production company involved in the creation of Long form, Short form, broadcast and web-based screen content. With a background in supporting and nurturing emerging film talent, Inspiration Studios has earned partnership credits on a large list of projects.

Amongst our credits we co-produced Jonathan auf der Heide and Maggie Miles’ acclaimed ’Van Diemen's Land’ in 2009, and are currently developing the Action Romantic Comedy Feature, ‘The Paperman’ in partnership with Matthewswood Productions.

VAN DIEMEN’S LAND

Van Diemen's Land is a 2009 Australian drama / thriller set in 1822 in colonial Tasmania (Van Dieman’s Land). It follows the true story of Alexander Pearce, Australia's most notorious convict. In 1822, Pearce and seven fellow convicts escaped from Macquarie Harbour, a place of ultra banishment and punishment, only to find a world less forgiving.. the Australian wilderness. Abandon all hope you who enter.

Van Diemen’s Land was Inspiration Studios first co-production with Noise and Light.   Van Diemen’s Land proved to be a hit - finding selection in festivals around the world, including Melbourne - even finding its way onto the Red Digital Cinema website and their exclusive preview. Van Diemen’s Land The first widely released RED Australian Feature Film. HAWKE
D: Emma Freeman DoP: Graeme Wood


Hawke was the first ever Television Drama shot on Red in Australia. The Inspiration team together with Producer Richard Keddie and Cinematographer Graeme Wood ensued a smooth and trouble free shoot. For this multi-camera shoot we provided the camera equipment, on-set data management, quality control, rushes and workflow from camera to online.


The production starring Richard Roxburgh, and Asher Keddie, told the story of Bob Hawke, Australia’s most loved Prime Minister as he faces his greatest challenge: a battle within his own party.

EXIT

Wrapping up post production in 2011, Exit was a long evolving production which started in early 2008 with the then, very new RED. Shooting the last few scenes in February 2011, it is very exciting to see this project finally come to light.


The story follows A group of people who believe the city is a maze and are obsessively searching for the lost exit.

SUMMER CODA

In the blistering heat of Mildura (topping 47°), Inspiration Studios headed up into the with Red 242 to work on Summer Coda. With some exceptionally stunning cinematography, Summer Coda was released in October 2010 and screened across Australia.


Starring Rachel Taylor, this romantic drama follows Heidi, Hitchhiking home to a family she's never known. In the stunning orange groves of country Australia, they embark on an adventure, discovering their secrets and lives may be better shared.
